The recent announcement of DeepMind, Google’s high-profile AI research firm, opening its first lab outside of the UK in Edmonton, and working with the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (AMII) at the University of Alberta, underscores Canada’s commitment to being at the forefront of AI innovation.  This panel of industry leaders will discuss both the investor and academic perspectives surrounding AI, along with some of the challenges that that are faced when commercializing AI ventures.
